Review
There is something truly magical about the movie Abominable that I simply cannot ignore. As a lover of film and storytelling, I was drawn in by the simple but powerful plot of a young girl named Yi and her journey to help a lost yeti find his way back home. But beyond just the storyline, there are so many elements of this film that truly make it a masterpiece.
First and foremost, the cast of Abominable is simply outstanding. Chloe Bennet brings such depth and emotion to her role as Yi, making her a character that audiences cannot help but root for. And as for the lovable yeti himself, his innocence and charm is portrayed perfectly by actor Joseph Izzo.
But it’s not just the acting that sets Abominable apart from other animated films. The score by Rupert Gregson-Williams is absolutely breathtaking, capturing both the excitement and wonder of Yi’s journey as well as the heartfelt emotion that drives it forward.

Of course, no film can be perfect – there have been some criticisms regarding cultural representation in Abominable, particularly in regards to its portrayal of Chinese culture. While I do think these criticisms are valid and deserve attention, I also believe that they do not take away from the overall experience of watching this wonderful film.
In closing, Abominable is a true gem among animated films. Its heartwarming story, talented cast, beautiful score, and stunning visuals all come together to create a movie that will leave you feeling uplifted and inspired long after the credits roll.
